Only what ScoutKeep needs

ScoutKeep uses cookies and browser storage only to make the Service work and keep it secure. We don’t use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or analytics cookies, and our fonts are served from our own domain. Because everything listed here is needed for the Service, there’s nothing to opt in to.

Sign-in cookies

scout_auth_access and scout_auth_refresh keep you signed in and renew your session; they last until you sign out or the session expires. scout_passkey_challenge and scout_slack_sign_in hold a sign-in step while you finish signing in with a passkey or Slack. scout_support_session is set only for ScoutKeep support staff during a read-only support session.

Signup

scout_signup_id and scout_signup_access connect the steps of creating a unit and last up to one day. While you set up a unit, your unit details and feature choices are also kept in this browser tab’s session storage so a refresh doesn’t lose your answers. That saved draft doesn’t include verification codes or personal contact details, and it’s cleared when signup finishes or the tab closes.

Bot protection

Signup and waitlist forms run a bot check from our hosting provider, Vercel, which examines your browser to tell people from automated abuse. It’s used only for security.

Website visit counts

The ScoutKeep website counts page views with Vercel Web Analytics. It sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser, and the counts can’t be tied to you.

Your controls

You can view and delete cookies and site storage in your browser’s settings. Blocking or clearing them will sign you out and may remove unfinished signup answers. Websites you reach through links from ScoutKeep have their own cookie practices.
