Close RSVPs when you need a final headcount, simpler choices for how families join an event, notices when an event moves, attendance by den, a full page for every charge, smoother email changes, and a calmer menu.
Notices when an event movesWhen an upcoming event gets a new date or time, or is canceled, in your pack’s calendar, every family that’s going, might go, or registered hears about it. The notice gives the old and new times and links to the event. If a leader undoes the change before ScoutKeep next checks the calendar, nothing is sent.
RSVP deadlinesLeaders can set an optional RSVP deadline on any event in Event settings. After it passes, families can still say they can’t make it, and leaders can still update a family’s RSVP from the roster.
RSVP or No RSVPHow families join an event is now one choice: RSVP, No RSVP, registration, or registration and payment. No RSVP replaces the separate Ask families to RSVP checkbox.
A Charges page for the treasurerFinance now shows what’s still owed, what’s past due, and how many families owe, with a new Charges page that lists every charge. Search and filter it by status or fee, then edit an amount or due date, void what’s left on a partly paid charge, or delete one added by mistake. Lowering a paid charge, like a shirt order that couldn’t be filled, records the refund in the ledger.
A clearer email-change confirmationWhen you change your email in account settings, the confirmation emails sent to your old and new addresses now look like the rest of ScoutKeep’s emails. They explain both steps, and the link brings you back to your unit's portal to finish.
Attendance by denAn event’s attendance roster can now be grouped by den as well as by family. Choose By den above the roster to see each den’s Scouts together, then adults and guests. Den leaders with more than one den can switch too, and check-ins save the same way in either view.
Menu sections fold awayThe portal menu now folds its sections, like Communication and My family, so there’s less to take in. Only the section for the page you’re on starts open. Select a section to open or fold it, and the portal remembers your choices.
Plans, packing, and feedback.
Everything an outing needs before, during, and after, plus a clearer picture of who’s keeping up.
Add adults without their phone numberLeaders can save an adult on the Adults page without a phone number. Anyone who signs in without one is asked for it first, so leaders can still reach everyone.
A calmer event pageEach event now has its own Event settings page for sign-ups, guests, its Slack channel, and the feedback survey. The event page keeps the roster, tasks, itinerary, and packing list.
A tidier event page for familiesThe event page for families opens with a compact header showing the date, time, place, and map links, so the description and packing list come right after it. Tasks and announcements now sit beside them, and only appear when there’s something to see.
Join page leads with your interest formWhen your unit tracks prospective families, the website’s Join page starts with the interest form, so new families reach a leader before they register.
Your packing list on every eventFamilies can start a packing list on any event’s page and add their own items, even before leaders recommend any.
Easier to spot where to add an itemThe packing list’s Add your own item box now looks like a box you can type in, and choosing Add with it empty points you to it.
Announcements about an eventChoose the event an announcement is about, or start one from the event’s page. It goes to the families going and to the event’s Slack channel, and appears on the event’s page. If the event is canceled before a scheduled announcement goes out, ScoutKeep holds it and lets you know.
Announcement access comes from rolesWho can send announcements is now set only on the Roles page: a role with Send announcements for the whole unit, or a den leader position for that den. The separate Announcement permissions page is gone.
Your own school yearLeaders set the day the unit’s school year starts. Dens, health forms, and engagement reports follow it, and today’s date now comes from the unit’s time zone.
More than one event reminderRemind families up to three times before each event, such as a week ahead and the day before. Each adult can choose their own reminder times in their notification settings.
Attach files to a new announcementAdd documents and images while writing an announcement. They upload when you save the draft, so there’s no need to save first.
Search for events in tasks, minutes, and announcementsLink a task, meeting minutes, or an announcement to an event, or send an announcement to an event’s families, by typing its name or date instead of scrolling through every event on the calendar.
Write without leaving the listAnnouncements, surveys, and meeting minutes now open in a side panel, like tasks, so your list stays in view. Closing it with unsaved changes asks first.
Sign in with Slack from your unitYour unit’s sign-in page now offers Sign in with Slack when the unit has connected Slack.
Itinerary & meal plansPlan each event’s schedule and menu, then publish them to families and the event’s own Slack channel.
Packing listsShare a packing list for an event. Each family checks it off, skips what they don’t need, and adds their own.
Feedback after eventsFamilies who took part get a short survey after each meeting or outing. The adult in charge and den leaders read the answers.
Turn off event remindersEach adult can stop event reminders and feedback surveys for themselves in their notification settings. Everyone else in the family keeps theirs.
Engagement analyticsLeaders see each adult’s surveys answered, announcements read, RSVPs, and last sign-in for the program year.
Meeting minutesWrite minutes for a meeting on the calendar, attach handouts, approve them, and share them with leaders or every member.
Announcement inboxAnnouncements arrive as an inbox. Leaders set a respond-by date, see who has read each one, and remind only those who haven’t answered.
A family home that shows what’s nextHome now lists every RSVP, survey, task, and balance that needs an answer, plus this week’s and next week’s events.
Week viewThe family calendar adds a week view beside month and list.
One-tap invitationsInvited parents join straight from the email, with no codes to type.
A redesigned events workspaceLeaders manage events from the same calendar families see, with attendance, tasks, the packing list, and feedback on one page.
Checklists and MarkdownWrite checklists in announcements, minutes, and website text, or switch the editor to Markdown.
